Well since I was bored...

Well its about 1:00am here and im awake and cannot sleep. so I have been looking around the news for video games and systems. Only a few interesting things came up so i went on to play some Mario kart, then i began to think...What would a future DS possibly have for features/functionality. I have my ideas but i any one would like to share theirs it would be a good conversation to have with some sort of ridiculous outcome...so yeah put your ideas up any time and ill be glad to reply with an even more ridiculous idea!

It'd be cool if it printed money.... LOL.

Realy, I don't know of much that could be done to make it beter. Except a camera and maybe a joystick.

I was expecting you guys to be silly but i guess not. So heres my try at this one. The system would have a flexible single touch lcd screen (they have those if you want me to site it). The camera sounds cool, but i'm not to keen on me flailing around with a 200$ machine in my hand, so i would leave motion control to a tilt. So of course it has a 20gig solid state hard drive that can store all formats of media, gaming and programs. For networking it is definitely going to have an 802.11n antenna along with cell phone networking capabilities. This thing is going to have a chip set about 3/4ths the power of the wii. It will have a built in browser, running with 128mb of ram for multiple tabs and 32 player, smooth online play. Connectivity is gonna be big this time around with the ability to send and receive full games, movies and music files with the wii. Finally the system will have one super innovative feature: it will have a built in miniaturized projector capable of putting out a 4ft widescreen image for your movie viewing.

Sending and recieving full games, music and movies with only 128 ram?
That would take so long.
Not to mention that would insinuate that you would be able to get them ON your wii in the first place.

Also, the actual thing would be big, chunky, and most probably look horrible.
I mean, really, have you even seen a handheld with a antenna?
Also, the projector idea was nice, but far-fetched.

Actually the connection speed throughout a local network running at 128mbps is more than enough to send games from system to system. It is not really a matter of RAM but of write speed and bandwidth of your connection.
There would not need to be an antenna on the system. Most wireless equipped mobile devices have INTERNAL antennae.
The iPhone is a great example of how much you can pack into something without changing its size. SS drives are relatively small, and the flex-LCD eliminates the need to make a bulky clamshell. The real issue of this device would be power consumption.
