| FF2 sucks. 1 is good, as far as it goes. IV, V, and VI are better. | |

| If you liked 1&2, you should really get the others, because they are far better in every way. | |

| I actually enjoyed Final Fantasy II much more. I found that it had much more depth and the combat/leveling system was brilliant. I beat the first FF in a day without even saving. (the saving part was partly because i did not have a ps1 memory card at the time) | |

| While it is on my mind, FFIV is going to be remade on the DS. It was announced a little while ago so wait till the remake comes out to see if it is good before you buy the GB version | |

| That game is awesome as well as all the others. On my first playthrough of 2 I hated the leveling up system. But after playing through again about a year later, I loved it. There is no limit to how strong your characters can get so I just love attacking myself to get stronger. I have the others too. I like FF VI the best. I thought FF III sucked though. That game has way too much level grinding. | |

| Heres what I think about the game First I'll talk about FF 1. In this game you are giving little direction in what to do. There is kind of a story at the beginning but that's about it. Well there is story throughout the rest of the game but it wasn't very deep. At the beginning of the game you can choose from either Warrior, Thief, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, or Red Mage. Those are the only jobs and when you choose there is no going back. You have 4 characters. You also get to name your people or have random names. The game is very fun, has a lot of level exploration, and it is quite long, especially for its time. You level up the traditional way of getting exp. The game is challenging at times and even if you level up considerably it doesn't make the game really easy. Its a great game. Now here's about FF 2. This game was a step up in story from the first one. The story is riveting and deep. Not really sure what that means but its good. The leveling up in this game is really weird. But before I explain that I have to explain the weapons. You start out with 3 characters. You can have 4 but the 4th person in your party constantly changes. Like people will join you for a little bit then leave, then later someone else joins you and leaves, then the original person comes back. So each person can use any weapon. The more you use the weapon the higer that weapons stat will get for your character. So if you use swords with one person then their sword level will increase. Also that is how your health, strength, magic points, magic, intelligence, etc. increase. I think once you take so much damage then your hp, def, and whatever stats relate to those increase. So the more people you kill the stronger you get. At first I found this system really annoying. But after playing for a little bit I started to enjoy it. Since there are no levels, there is no limit to how strong your characters can get. I was getting my people so strong I would 1 hit bosses. That wasn't until my second playthrough though. This game is really fun also. And once you beat FF2 a new story is open that continues on from FF2. It is new that they made for the GBA game. It continues some things left unfinished in the original.
So I would recommend getting FF 1&2 Dawn of souls. Great game. Tons of replay value and lots of fun. | |
