FF III

Okay I have heard its a great game and its a horrible game.
Please tell me the pros and cons of it.

The game is basically the definition of classic. The story gives a vague outline of what you are supposed to be doing. You do that.

The great part of this game is the character customization. The game uses a dual leveling system. The base of the system is the character level. When you gain a level your character gets bonuses to their stats like hp speed strength etc.

The second part of the system is job levels. Through out the game characters will be able to choose from about thirty jobs. While you fight monsters you gain job levels when you do an action that fits your job description. For example a Mage will get job levels when it uses magic.

Each job has a specific type of equipment weapons and armor. This makes getting money in the game actually useful. Sometime you will find your self leaving a place that took you two hours to get to just to but new weapons.

The game has had a major graphical update over the original. It plays in a 3d over head type of view with the option to zoom in on things. Although the graphics have been re-done, there is still a classic style to the game.

The enemies in the game vary in difficulty. At times you will think that it is too easy. At other times you will walk into a new area and die in the first fight. The bosses in the game are well planned and certain ones require you to change into a different job type just to beat them.

For the over all of the game i would rat it a 9 out of 10. The game can be play for around 60 hours, has a well rounded difficulty, secret dungeons, and decent story line.

Well I can't think of huge things. Butttt, um it's fun. Sometimes it's to challenging. I like it!

Sorry Donkey545. I read the title of the thread wrong. I though I clicked on the one for 1 and 2 dawn of souls.

So about this game. I hated it. Thats all I really have to say. I just thought there was too much level grinding. I used to hate it but now I really want to play it. I dont know why but I think I like it now. So i dont relaly know what to say.

On the contrary i do believe you are referring to the wrong game. Unless My eyes deceive me, this thread is requesting information about Final Fantasy Three. Final Fantasy III does in fact have job levels.

You may have miss-read the title or perhaps you have somehow confused the order in which the Final Fantasy series was released in America. My bets are on you miss-reading the title or me being slightly retarded.

Yeah you could use gamefaqs but doesnt that take all the fun out of the game? its just not as good when using a guide to get through a game. the only time i use guides is just for getting extra stuff or seeing what i miss. i usually wont get a guide until after i beat the game

ok i just got FFIII this afternoon.........first the opener movie is awesome....

i have a couple of questions though.

your main guy is te swordsmen right?
arc is the black mage right?
girl is white mage right?
and soldier is red mage right?

i want to teach them the right stuff.
and staffs are the same thing as maces right?

You can chagne anyones job to be anything you want. Its all changeable. The opener is pretty sweet.

i know......but in the movie they were certain things.,.......thats what i want.........so was i right about them? and about the maces?

Oh you want to be like them? I think you would get your ass kicked if you started playing throuhg the game like that. I swear that game is impossibly hard. The bosses are so much better than the enemies before it. I dunno what you mean by the maces

well im trying it...........in the older games you had weapon lvl........and staff's and maces are the same

Thats only for Final Fantasy 2. They don't have weapon levels in the other games.

The opening movie was just a teaser. ignore the jobs used in the movie, they just depict a classic final fantasy theme. I suggest the jobs Monk Thief White mage and warrior/red mage. You could also level up free lancer to 99 really fast. This makes your guys really good fast but they dont get any better. Dont be afraid to change jobs alot. OH ya DO NOT GO INTO THE MITHRIL MINES if you are not at least lvl 10.

It happened to my brother too. I got to level ten in the first dungeon with luneth before i left so i didn't die. Do you have all four characters in you party? if you do not you can level up much easier. Also after you beat the djinn you can get free stuff in the mithril mines. Zoom in in the back of the cave and press the sparkly thing. A wall will open and there is all sorts of chests.

yup i found that.......im right after you get rid of the neptoon dragon thing

Wow you are pretty far. Theres lots more game though. What do you think of it so far?

i love it..........a like the job system though im making them all what they are sopposed to be lol..........but i dont know what to do now that i have the ship......am i sopposed to go into the desert?

If you like jobs then get Final Fantasy 5. It has the best job class system ever. I dont really like 3's because you don't really gain anything by getting the job level up. On 5 you gain abilites and its a lot cooler.
